100 Word Wednesday-- The Horoscope

Hi guys! It's 100 word Wednesday again! Basically the goal is to tell a 100 word story (beginning, middle, and end). It is my favorite thing to do :)

This week's prompt...

"Today's Horoscope: Your prized possession will end up in someone else's hands"

 

I hit the x on top of the page and shut my laptop. I should know better than to read those stupid things. So vague and wrong. And even if they are right, they are right be default.
I don't believe in them... but I always read them. Curiosity, I suppose.

I sigh and stand as Mr. Manning--who seems to have better things to do--hands me the final set of papers.

It's gone.

Forclosed.

Just like that. My house is not mine.

Guess it was right.
